LA Climate Week: Five Organizations You Should Know

Los Angeles has no shortage of Changemakers and organizations committed to climate solutions…and what better place to experience this than the third Los Angeles Climate Week?

April 24, 2026

Los Angeles has no shortage of Changemakers and organizations committed to climate solutions…and what better place to experience this than the third Los Angeles Climate Week? I had the opportunity to connect with so many organizations and individuals who are doing incredible work across the climate space, from textiles and tech to community spaces and agriculture. I am excited to highlight just a handful of the organizations of the LA Climate Week that I think you should know!

Green Jobs Board

At their Green Jobs Pavilion, Green Jobs Board hosted a 1-day summit that served as a hub for connection, opportunity, education, and innovation. Environmentally and socially responsible employers connected with over 100 job seekers throughout the day, creating space for networking and conversations about careers in climate and sustainability. Spaces and organizations like this play such an important role in bridging the gap between the passionate talent and the organizations that are actively looking to hire. Beyond job matching, Green Jobs Pavilion offered a clearer picture of the evolving climate workforce and showcased how any and every job can indeed be a climate job.

Homeboy Threads + Electronics

Women in Cleantech and Sustainability partnered with Homeboy Industries to give LA Climate Week attendees the opportunity to tour their recycling facilities for clothing and electronics. Homeboy Threads operates under Homeboy Electronics Recycling, an award-winning social enterprise that offers nationwide services for the proper disposal and management of IT assets and expands into textiles. As a preeminent rehabilitation program, the organization partners with their customers to have recycling needs and provide jobs and second chances to people and apparel. Seeing their recycling facility and operations in action offered a tangible example of how climate solutions can also drive social and community impact.

The Circular Library

Located in Venice, The Circular Library is dedicated to the principles of a circular economy by hosting various workshops, housing upcycled and intentionally designed collections, and providing educational resources. Although they also operate as a retail store, The Circular Library offers more than just that. By inviting people to discover and take part in a more responsible fashion experience, the space is cultivating an informed, curious, and an actively engaged community. Something that I find really cool about the Circular Library is that they host sewing classes, mending workshops, arts + crafts classes, and clothing swaps. I’m looking forward to attending more of their events in the future and continuing to see how the Circular Library is making sustainable practices fun, social, and approachable!

Pique Action

Pique Action prides themselves on being an alternative to doomscrolling by focusing on positive stories and solutions regarding climate. I attended their event “The Stories Behind Data: A Masterclass on Becoming a Skilled Climate Communicator” and learned so much about how important storytelling is for reaching those who may not be aware or involved in the climate space. At this event, speakers Katherine Markova and Kip Pastor led us through an interactive panel where they presented overwhelming charts and graphs, then showed how you could transform that data into a compelling story that would help people understand the severity of the data and prompt them to care. Instead of social media and communications leaving people feeling overwhelmed, their approach shows how thoughtful storytelling can replace doomscrolling with curiosity, hope, and action. Pique Action’s work reinforces the idea that how we communicate climate is just as important as the information itself.

Little City Farm

Little City Farm is proving that organic farming is not only possible on large plots of land, but can also thrive in the heart of a busy city! A blend of regenerative agriculture, art, community, and farming, Little City Farm is an organic farm and zero-waste gathering space that is nestled in central LA. In addition to producing regeneratively grown, organic food, the farm also doubles as a space for community gathering that aligns with their mission- as they hosted multiple events during LA Climate Week. Little City Farm was a really unique and inspiring place. If you are in the area and are interested in sustainable food and agriculture, zero waste community gatherings, and workshops - Little City Farm is well worth a visit!

This year marked the third Los Angeles Climate Week, and it’s been exciting to watch both the community and events calendar grow since 2024. The wide variety of events and organizations makes it easy for anyone to find something that resonates with their interests. I hope you will follow along with the journeys and work of the organizations mentioned above. Until next year, LA Climate Week!
